More than 150 competitors from many different European countries competed this year in As.Li.Co. 61st Annual Competition for Young Opera Singers of Europe. Preliminary auditions were held in Naples, Bucarest, Istanbul, Como, Liegi, London and Madrid, with Preliminary and Semi-Final rounds held on January 28th – 30th, 2010 at Teatro Sociale di Como. The Finals on January 31st, which were held in concert format before a theater audience, presented 14 singers performing arias by Mozart, Bellini, Rossini, Verdi and Sargenti. Below is a list of winners and the roles they will present during As.Li.Co. and the Circuito Lirico Lombardo's opera season
